Thomas Partey wins big at the 7th Ghana Football Awards.

The 7th Ghana Football Awards took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana. The event, a glamorous celebration of Ghanaian football excellence.

The Ghana Football Awards, a Football Impact Africa initiative in collaboration with AE Media, recognises outstanding Ghanaian football players, coaches, administrators, and stakeholders both locally and internationally. Launched in 2018, the awards aim to honour exceptional performances during the football season under review, with the 2025 edition being the seventh iteration of this prestigious event. The ceremony was strictly by invitation and featured iconic entrances, live performances by artists such as Enam, Olive The Boy, and Amandzeba, and was hosted by Nii Attoh and Joselyn Dumas, with Alexis Laura and Owuraku Ampofo anchoring the red carpet.

The 7th Ghana Football Awards celebrated a wide array of talents, with Arsenal and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey emerging as the night’s biggest winner, clinching the Footballer of the Year award for a historic third time. Partey, who beat stiff competition from teammates Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo, was recognized for his stellar performances at Arsenal in the English Premier League and his pivotal role as the heartbeat of the Ghana national team, the Black Stars. Kwesi Appiah was awarded Men’s Coach of the Year, while Abu Kassim took home the Women’s Coach of the Year award, both recognized for their exceptional leadership and impact on their respective teams. John Peter Amewu was honored as the Club CEO of the Year, acknowledging his significant contributions to club management.

The Living Legend Award was bestowed upon Mr. Harry Zakkour, Mr. Herbert Mensah, and Mr. Ken Bediako, celebrating their enduring contributions to Ghanaian football.


The ceremony also featured a notable nomination for the Best African International award, which was won by Achraf Hakimi after beating competition from Serhou Guirassy and Mohammed Salah.
